Templates with board game, playing card and controller graphics set a competitive, fun tone.
Board games, cards, quiz rounds or a console tournament: a good game night depends on the right number of players. Send a game night invitation with Ocvite that lists the games, start time and snacks, and use the RSVPs to split teams before anyone arrives.

Mention Codenames, Uno, Monopoly Deal or a quiz so players can brush up on rules beforehand.
Many games work best with four to eight players; replies tell you whether to split into two tables.
Use guest notes to see who is bringing which board game or extra controllers.

Choose a fun template with game graphics, enter the date, start time and address, and list the games you plan to play in the notes. Adjust colours if you want a team feel. Share the link in your friends group, and replies tell you exactly how many players to expect.
List the planned games so guests know whether it is a strategy evening, a party-game night or a quiz. Add the start time, since some games take hours, plus snacks, whether to bring a game, and if it is competitive with prizes or just casual.
For a one-off weekend event, a week ahead works. Many groups run game night regularly on a weeknight, so a few days' notice and a reminder on the day are enough. If you are hosting a tournament, give two weeks so players can practise.
Once guests reply attending on Ocvite, you see the confirmed count, including plus-ones. If eight are coming, you can plan two teams of four for Codenames or two tables of Catan. Knowing numbers early avoids someone sitting out because a game caps at six.
Choose games with simple rules and short rounds, such as Codenames, Dixit, Uno, Pictionary or a general knowledge quiz. Save long strategy games for experienced players. Mentioning the line-up on the invite lets newcomers feel prepared and helps regulars bring extra copies or expansions.
